For the 2012 AO Series, IDS will provide a range of services to Brisbane, Sydney, and Hobart, including scoring services, full color video displays, content management, timing services, and television services. IDS is proud to be associated with Tennis Australia to deliver state of the art services for the AO Series, leading to the AUS Open.
For over 20 years, IDS has been involved with the Australian Open in every aspect of this Grand Slam. Beside our core services, IDS has helped Tennis Australia deliver enhanced and tailored services for the fans, media, broadcast, players, and sponsors. In 2012, IDS is proud to launch the AO Vision services, an IPTV solution that integrates live and historical data (scoring and video).
One of our most long-term partners, Indian Wells and IDS continue working together to deliver innovative services with “On Demand Content, ” Information Towers, Line Calling replay services on all courts, and Superwall services, creating a Grand Slam environment and unique experience for all constituencies of the event.
Entering 26 years of services with SE Open, IDS have launched many new services in Miami including our serve speed system. With today current technologies, IDS has helped SE Open deliver their HD CCTV with new content, upgrade the fans’ video displays, and implement a content management system for all courts. In 2011, IDS partnered with The Players to help support their new effort in creating a more comfortable experience for the fans. To help support this objective, IDS provided two 10mm SMD displays within the newly created “Patio” and “Grove” fan comfort areas. IDS also provided three high-definition, closed-circuit television channels. These channels provided Championship scoring content, sponsor branding, and tournament information which wrapped around the live broadcast. In addition to the video display upgrades and closed-circuit television channels, IDS also provided a complete redesign of the on-course video display graphics. The newly designed graphics followed the set branding guidelines for the event, seamlessly blended into the surrounding on-course signage and made the content easier to read from various viewing points. As part of this design process, IDS provided the guidelines and assets for the PGA TOUR to follow when designing the on-course scoreboards to match the new PLAYERS video display graphics design.

IDS has been involved with the Australian Open for more than 20 years, raising the bar this year by implementing four new, state-of-the-art services: Australian Open Vision (IPTV solution), Match Analysis Video Content, LED Scorebaord Content for outside courts and Clock System Synchronization.
Australian Open Vision, a browser-based application on a tablet platform, are stationed on journalists' desks in the main Media Center, as well as various other tournament locations. The system allows users to select and view up to five video streams at once, including on-court action and player interviews. The IPTV system also features real time scores, match stats, draws, schedules, results tournament stat leaders, Australian Open history and WTA/ATP player bio information. IDS will also provide a digital media solution, which incorporates video indexed by point, or combined with statistical information. This application enables players, media and coaches to view specific points in each match on the AO Vision tablets in the Media Center and throughout the site.
To enhance the fan experience for outer court spectators, IDS is providing content management services for new outdoor LED displays on selected courts. The service includes pre-match introduction graphics, static scoreboard graphics during matches, scores from other matches in progress, and scores from completed matches. Graphics are generated from IDS onsite production, with data provided automatically by each Chair Umpire's PDA scoring device. This customized software receives specific notifications from the umpire's input in order to display the correct score and graphics during match play and sit downs.
